Katy Stop RV Park is named for the old MKT railroad — "the Katy" — that made Boonville a stop worth pulling into. We're carrying that welcome forward.
Boonville was always a stop on the Katy
The Missouri-Kansas-Texas Railroad — the MKT, nicknamed "the Katy" — reached Boonville in 1873, and for decades this was a busy stop on the line. Today the same corridor carries the Katy Trail. A "Katy Stop" is exactly what it sounds like: your stop on the Katy, where the rails, the trail, and the river meet.

Katy Stop RV Park is owned and operated by the Missouri River Valley Steam Engine Association (MRVSEA), a nonprofit founded in 1963 by 34 central Missourians to preserve agriculture and farm life. The same folks who keep steam traction engines running and host Boonville's longest-running festival look after this park — so you're staying with people who genuinely care about this place.
Back to the Farm Reunion
Every September, MRVSEA hosts the "Back to the Farm Reunion" Steam Engine Show at the Brady Showgrounds just off I-70 — antique tractors, a "Parade of Power," blacksmithing, sawing, molasses making, and draft horses. If you time your stay right, you can camp with us and walk into living history.

Read All Campground RulesWhat are check-in and check-out times?+
Check-in is 3:00 PM and check-out is noon. All guests register with the campground host on arrival, and every rig stays in its assigned site — please don't block another site or the roadway. Need extra parking? See the office.
Are pets allowed?+
We love well-behaved dogs. Non-aggressive pets are welcome — keep them leashed at all times, clean up after them every time, and don't leave them tied out or unattended and barking.
What are the quiet hours and speed limit?+
Quiet hours run 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM — please respect your neighbors. The campground speed limit is 5 miles per hour, everywhere, all the time.
Are there restrooms and showers?+
Yes — restrooms and showers are for registered guests only and require the code you'll get at registration. Campfires go in the fire ring only, never burn trash, and put all trash in the campground dumpster.
What's the cancellation policy?+
Plans change — we get it. Cancel more than 24 hours before arrival and a $10 fee applies. Cancel within 24 hours of your arrival date and a fee of one night's stay applies.
Any safety rules I should know?+
No fireworks of any kind on the grounds. Firearms may not be discharged on the grounds and must be kept in compliance with all state and federal laws. Please do not cut or harm the trees — they're part of what makes this place special.
