Bike & Walk the Katy Trail
The Katy Trail is the longest developed rail-trail in the country — 240 miles of crushed limestone on the old MKT corridor — and it runs right through Boonville near milepost 191. Roll out from camp for a morning ride or an all-day adventure.
The Historic Katy Bridge
Boonville's 1932 Katy lift bridge once carried the longest vertical-lift railroad span in the country over the Missouri River. Saved from demolition and reopened to walkers, it's a beloved local icon and a short trip from the park.
The Big Muddy & Wildlife
The Big Muddy National Fish & Wildlife Refuge restores floodplain habitat along the Missouri — bottomland forest, wetlands, and sandbars home to bald eagles, herons, deer, and more. Bring binoculars and take it slow.
Clydesdale Country
Just up the road, Warm Springs Ranch is the breeding and training home of the famous Budweiser Clydesdales, with popular seasonal tours across rolling countryside. Check the ranch's schedule and reserve directly with them before you go.
Historic Boonville
A true river town with 400-plus buildings on the National Register, historic Thespian Hall, riverboat and Santa Fe Trail heritage, a "Rivers, Rails & Trails" museum, and plenty of local dining and shops to fill an afternoon.
Steam, Soil & the Back to the Farm Reunion
Our owner, the Missouri River Valley Steam Engine Association, hosts Boonville's longest-running festival each September — steam traction engines, antique tractors, a "Parade of Power," blacksmithing, and more. If you love living history, plan your stop around it.

Check-in is 3:00 PM and check-out is noon. All guests register with the campground host on arrival, and every rig stays in its assigned site — please don't block another site or the roadway. Need extra parking? See the office.
Are pets allowed?+
We love well-behaved dogs. Non-aggressive pets are welcome — keep them leashed at all times, clean up after them every time, and don't leave them tied out or unattended and barking.
What are the quiet hours and speed limit?+
Quiet hours run 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM — please respect your neighbors. The campground speed limit is 5 miles per hour, everywhere, all the time.
Are there restrooms and showers?+
Yes — restrooms and showers are for registered guests only and require the code you'll get at registration. Campfires go in the fire ring only, never burn trash, and put all trash in the campground dumpster.
What's the cancellation policy?+
Plans change — we get it. Cancel more than 24 hours before arrival and a $10 fee applies. Cancel within 24 hours of your arrival date and a fee of one night's stay applies.
Any safety rules I should know?+
No fireworks of any kind on the grounds. Firearms may not be discharged on the grounds and must be kept in compliance with all state and federal laws. Please do not cut or harm the trees — they're part of what makes this place special.
